The programme is organized by Faculty of Science and Engineering, CityU of Hong Kong, it is to create a learning environment outside classroom for students via some territory-wide or specific study projects to be undertaken. The objectives of Project-based Outreach Programme (POP) are to

• enhance secondary school students' interests and understanding in science and engineering disciplines
• develop in students an active learning attitude and better critical thinking skills via execution of an experimental project
• promote contacts between the tertiary and secondary school sectors
